Getting Started
Finding & Reserving Your Puppy
How do I reserve a puppy?
Find the puppy or upcoming litter you love on our Available Puppies page, fill out the short questionnaire, and place the $300 reservation fee. We'll add your name to the website and send you a welcome email with your puppy's details and next steps.
Is the website up to date?
Yes. We keep our website current, so if a puppy is listed as available, it's available. Once a puppy is reserved, we update the listing with the family's name.
How do picks work for an upcoming litter?
Families pick in the order their deposits come in. We do picks when the puppies are about 6 weeks old, right after their vet check, usually over FaceTime so you can see each puppy and ask questions.
Is the reservation fee refundable? Can I move it to another litter?
The $300 reservation fee is non-refundable, unless the puppy becomes ill or passes away while in our care. If the litter you picked doesn't have the puppy you're hoping for, your deposit can be moved to another litter.
Can I see the puppies before I decide?
Absolutely. We love doing FaceTime calls so you can see the puppies move, play, and meet them up close. We can also send videos and updated photos. You can follow every litter from the ultrasound to go-home day on our YouTube channel.
Can I visit or pick up in person?
Yes. Pickups and visits are by appointment, Monday through Saturday, 9am to 8pm. For the health of our puppies, we can't bring toys or blankets from other homes into our puppy area, but we're happy to have your puppy play with a blanket we send home with them.
How do I know I'm talking to the real Furever Perfect Pups?
Sadly, scammers sometimes copy our photos and videos. Our puppies are only listed at fureverperfectpups.com, and our official accounts are @fureverperfectpups on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. If anyone reaches out claiming to be us, call or text us at (330) 275-3611 before sending any money. We're always happy to FaceTime so you can see us and your puppy.
Do you offer breeding rights?
Our puppies go to pet homes on a non-breeding agreement. Breeding rights are available on some puppies for an added fee. Give us a call and we'll talk through genetics and which pairings are a good fit for your program.
Pricing
Pricing & Payment
How much are your puppies?
Prices vary by breed, size, and litter. Each puppy's price is listed on its page, and you can click Reservation Details to see the total.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash or Venmo is preferred, since there are no fees. We also accept credit card or PayPal with a 3.5% convenience fee. You can pay online anytime on our Make a Payment page. We'll send you our Venmo details directly.
When is my final balance due?
If your puppy is being delivered, the final balance is due at least 2 business days before departure. If you're picking up, the balance is due in full at pickup.
Do you offer payment plans or cash discounts?
We aren't set up for payment plans, and we don't offer cash discounts. Your reservation fee holds your puppy, and the balance is paid closer to go-home day.
Is there sales tax?
A 7% Ohio sales tax applies to kennel pickups. Puppies delivered out of state are not charged Ohio sales tax.
Getting Home
Delivery & Pickup
Where are you located?
We're on 9 acres in Millersburg, Ohio, about 2 hours south of Cleveland. You're welcome to pick up here, or we can bring your puppy to you.
Do you deliver to my state?
Yes, we deliver to families across the contiguous United States. Ground delivery is $300 to $600 depending on your state, and our flight nanny service is $800 to $1,400. See the fee for your state on our Puppy Transportation page.
How does ground delivery work, and when will my puppy arrive?
A dedicated driver brings your puppy right to your door, keeping them fed, watered, and comfortable the whole way. Most trips take 1 to 2 days. The transport company will contact you the evening before with an estimated arrival time.
Can I choose a specific delivery day?
Ground transport runs set routes each week, so the delivery day depends on your area. If you need a specific date, a flight nanny can usually be scheduled around your plans for a higher cost.
How does the flight nanny service work?
Your puppy flies in the cabin with the nanny, never in cargo, with one-on-one care the whole trip. We set up a group text with you, the nanny, and our team, and you meet the nanny at your airport. It's our top pick for Maltipoos and toy Poodles.
Should I tip the driver or flight nanny?
That's totally up to you. Tips aren't required, but they're always appreciated.
Do you deliver to Canada, Alaska, or Hawaii?
We currently deliver to the contiguous United States only.
Can I fly home with my puppy in the cabin?
Many airlines let small puppies fly in the cabin in an approved carrier, which works well for our Maltipoos and toy Poodles. Every airline has its own rules, so check with yours before booking.
Health
Health & Vet Care
Are the parents health tested?
Yes. Our parents have OFA testing and DNA disease and color panels. You can see the results on each parent's page, linked from every puppy listing. We're happy to send you the reports directly too.
What vet care do puppies get before they go home?
Every puppy gets a full exam from our licensed veterinarian at about 6 weeks, and another check before going home. They get age-appropriate vaccines and deworming, a vet health certificate, and a microchip. If our vet finds anything, we share it with you openly.
What comes home with my puppy?
Your puppy's go-home bag includes:
- Vaccine and deworming records with all the dates
- Vet check and health certificate paperwork
- Microchip number and registration form
- A starter bag of TLC Pet Food
- A blanket and a toy
Your welcome email also includes our health guarantee, a 30-day Trupanion policy, and links to the food and supplements we use.
Do you offer a health guarantee?
Yes. Every puppy comes with a 2-year health guarantee covering debilitating congenital defects and the listed breed-specific genetic diseases. Please have your puppy seen by your vet within 72 hours of arrival. The full details are in the written Health & Genetic Guarantee we send you.
When does my puppy need the next vaccines?
We'll send you your puppy's vaccine and deworming records. Share them with your vet at your first visit, and they'll set the schedule for the next round.
When do I register the microchip?
You can register it before or after your puppy arrives. We'll give you the microchip number and the registration form.
What food do you feed?
Our puppies eat TLC Pet Food. There's a link in your welcome email and on our Health & Nutrition page that gives you a discount. Your puppy also goes home with a sample bag, so you can keep them on the same food.
My puppy isn't eating much the first day. Is that normal?
Yes, it's common. Everything is new, and most puppies need a day or two to settle in. Keep a small bowl of food and fresh water out, since our puppies are used to grazing. As long as your puppy is playful and active, they're usually fine. If they won't eat or drink, or seem tired and not themselves, call your vet and give us a call too.
Your Puppy
Size, Coat & Personality
How big will my puppy get?
We estimate adult size from both parents' weights, and each puppy page lists an expected range. It's an estimate, not a guarantee, but it's usually close. You can also try our Puppy Weight Calculator. Ask us anytime for a puppy's current weight.
Do your puppies shed? Are they hypoallergenic?
Our Bernedoodles, Poodles, and Maltipoos have low to non-shedding coats. Multigen Bernedoodles usually shed the least, and F1 Bernedoodles can shed a little more. No dog is truly allergy-free, so if allergies are a concern, we're happy to talk through which pairing fits you best.
Will my puppy's coat be straight, wavy, or curly?
It depends on the pairing. F1 Bernedoodles usually have straight to wavy coats, while multigen Bernedoodles are often wavy or curly. You can often see the coat coming in on the ears and face first, and we're happy to show you on FaceTime.
Will my puppy's blue eyes or color stay the same?
Sometimes blue eyes stay, and sometimes they change as the puppy grows. Merle puppies often keep at least one blue eye. Coat colors can also lighten or darken a bit with age, so we can't promise eye or coat color.
How do I know what my puppy's personality is like?
Every litter is evaluated at 6 weeks by an independent professional trainer. She watches the litter play, then works with each puppy one-on-one with new sounds and objects, and writes the personality description you see on each puppy page. We're always happy to tell you what we see every day too.
Which breed is right for my family?
Mini Bernedoodles are a great size for hiking, swimming, and families with kids. Poodles are very smart, easy to train, and low shedding. Maltipoos are small, playful, and affectionate. They often bond very closely with their people, so they do best with a family that's home a lot or helps them get used to short times alone. Give us a call and we'll help you find your match.
Bringing Them Home
Training & Life at Home
What training do puppies get with you?
Every puppy goes through our ENS pre-training program from day 3 to day 16, plus Early Scent Introduction. As they grow, they're introduced to everyday sounds, new textures, the play zone, the crate, and the leash, and they're handled by lots of different people. They're also used to nail trims, so they're ready for the groomer and the vet.
When do puppies go home?
Bernedoodles go home at 8 weeks. Poodles and Maltipoos go home at 9 weeks. We'll confirm the exact day with you as it gets closer. If you need us to keep your puppy a little longer, boarding is $30 per day.
Are the puppies potty trained?
Not fully at this age, but they have a great start. A few tips that work well:
- Use a crate for sleeping, and take water and food up at night
- Take your puppy out first thing in the morning, then about every 2 hours
- Make outside trips for potty only, not playtime, until they have the routine down
- Ring a potty bell every time you go out
Do you offer extended training?
Yes. Our 3-week Puppy Basics program is $2,500 and happens before your puppy comes home. Puppies work on sit, lay down, come, and shake, along with leash walking, crate training, and a start on potty training outside. You'll get a weekly video progress report. See our Training Program page for details.
Is it okay to call or text after my puppy goes home?
Of course. Buying a puppy from us means gaining a lifelong resource. Text us photos, ask questions, or call anytime you need advice. We love hearing how our puppies are doing.
